C-ute’s Suzuki Airi announces that she…has an announcement?
On June 6th, a video of Suzuki Airi was uploaded on C-ute’s official YouTube channel.
Basically, Suzuki was giving an announcement that there will be an announcement! On Friday, June 10th at 20:00 (8pm) JST, make sure to check out C-ute’s Official YouTube channel for the mysterious announcement that Suzuki was talking about.
Details on what the announcement is going to be about are still unknown, so you’ll have to tune in to find out what it is. Hopefully it won’t be an announcement of an announcement of an announcement.

AKB48 teases fans with audio previews from “Koko ni Ita Koto”!
AKB48 appeared on Countdown TV (CDTV) to show fans a few previews from their highly-anticipated first album, “Koko ni Ita Koto“!
During this week’s episode, fans can catch a glimpse of their songs “Wagamama Collection“, “Kimi to Boku no Kankei“, “Iikagen no Susume“, and “High school days“. Radio rips of their new songs “Kaze no Yukue” and “Koko ni Ita Koto” were just posted as well.

Check out the preview for Maeda Atsuko’s “Flower” PV!
AKB48’s ‘ace’ Maeda Atsuko has released a PV preview for her latest single “Flower”, which will be released on the 22nd.
The preview also includes a “making of” segment with a few adorable moments. The little girl in the video is played by Kimura Manatsu and she asks Maeda “Would it be okay if I join AKB?” to which Maeda responds, “You’re so cute! You want to join AKB? I’ll give you a warm welcome. You would be the youngest.”

Angela Aki reveals the PV for “Hajimari no Ballad”!
The PV for Angela Aki’s upcoming single, “Hajimari no Ballad”, has just been revealed!
The moving ballad is the theme song for Fuji TV’s drama, “Namae wo Nakushita Megami”, and the PV features Aki playing piano, as well as several people in artistic scenes.

Morning Musume’s Suzuki Kanon to release solo DVD, “Greeting~Suzuki Kanon”
Morning Musume’s 9th generation member Suzuki Kanon is set to release her first solo DVD!
Following the successful release of fellow member Fukumura Mizuki’s DVD, “Greeting~ Suzuki Kanon” will be the second of four planned DVDs to introduce the 9th generation as part of the e-Hello series.
Like Fukumura’s release, the DVD will feature shots of Suzuki showing off her beautiful smile and charm, as well as interview segments about passing the audition and life as a member of Hello! Project so far. Although a release date has not been announced, orders are being accepted until June 20th.

Koda Kumi to feature in Clench & Blistah’s best-of album
J-pop diva Koda Kumi will be featured in hip-hop duo Clench & Blistah’s upcoming 10th anniversary best album, “LOVE & MESSAGE“. She’ll be participating in the track, “Stands Up feat. Koda Kumi“; the album will go on sale July 20th.
Clench & Blistah is a hip-hop duo that consists of members Clench and Mr.Blistah. They formed in 2002 and made their major debut in 2008. The duo has been featured in the works of Lead, Amuro Namie, and Crystal Kay, among many others. The two worked with Koda Kumi before through her track “Teaser” from her second album, “grow into one“. Mr.Blistah also participated in Koda’s single, “Candy feat. Mr. Blistah“.

SuG releases PV for “☆Gimme Gimme☆”!
Earlier this month, Visual Kei band SuG revealed details on their upcoming single, “☆Gimme Gimme☆“.
The single is the theme song to upcoming film, “Pole Dancing Boys“, and will drop on June 15th. The band also just recently finished their “SuG TOUR 2011 ‘TRiP ~welcome to Thrill Ride Pirates~” on May 1st.

NERDHEAD reveals short version of “Doushite Suki Nan Darou feat. Mai-K” PV!
NERDHEAD has uploaded a short version of their PV for “Doushite Suki Nan Darou feat. Mai-K” onto Universal Music Japan’s official YouTube channel!

New idol group “Sea☆A” from Singapore to make debut in Japan!
Four girls from Singapore who love the Japanese anime scene have come together to form an idol group called ‘Sea☆A‘. According to their official site, “Sea” stands for “Southeast Asia”, the ☆ represents the stars that they want to become, and the ‘A’ stands for “anime”.
The girls will release their Japanese debut single “DREAM SHOOTER” on August 10th, which was already picked up to become the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s popular anime series, “Card Fight!! Vanguard”. It’ll come in a CD+DVD and CD-only editions; the DVD will include the “DREAM SHOOTER” PV as well as a documentary video on their first arrival to Japan.
Sea☆A’s official website states: “Anime Festival Asia (AFA), an anime convention held annually in Singapore since 2008. The Moe Moe Kyun Café which first debuted at AFA, features talents who love Japanese Anime, Idols, Cosplay and Figurines. It is from these pool of talented individuals, that 4 girls with strong personalities were chosen to form “Sea☆A”.”
Let’s get to know these four members a bit more. First of all, these girls are international idols and can all speak a total of 5 languages: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, English, Malay and Japanese.

Check out Cherie’s “Koi no Fushigi” movie version PV!
They previously gave you “WITHOUT U” by Aoyama Thelma and mihimaru GT’s “Master Piece“, and now for the third installment of Universal Music Japan’s short movie series, “RUN 60“, they’ve released Cherie’s “Koi no Fushigi” movie version PV!

“Koi no Fushigi” is Cherie’s first single since re-debuting under Univeral Music Japan, and she switched labels in February of this year to get a fresh start.
She originally debuted back in 2007 with the single “Sha la la -Ayakashi NIGHT-” for the anime “Kekkaishi” under GIZA studio. The song was produced by B’z’s Inaba Koushi and ranked #13 on the Oricon Chart.
Cherie will hold a CD release event on June 4th at SHIBUYA BOXX, called “~Live no Fushigi~“, and it will start at 17:30 and the cost is ¥3,000 ($36.83 USD).

Amuro Namie announces first single of 2011…and it’s a triple A-side!
The “Queen of Hip-Pop”, Amuro Namie, has just announced a new single!
The triple A-side single, “NAKED/Fight Together/-TBA-“, will be released on July 27th, and it will be her first single of 2011.
She just released a collaboration album, “Checkmate!“, last month (April 27th), which hit #1 on the Oricon Chart and was #2 on the United World Chart.
“NAKED” will be the theme song to a Kose CM for “ESPRIQUE“, and it’ll be produced by Osawa Shinichi with lyrics provided by VERBAL (m-flo). It’s said that “NAKED” is a very “Amuro-ish” song, meaning it’s dance-able.
The second song, “Fight Together”, as stated earlier, is the theme song to anime “ONE PIECE“, and went on-air in April.
The third song has yet to be revealed, but is said to have a major tie-up.
The triple A-side single will come in a limited and regular edition. The limited edition coming with a DVD and costs ¥1,890 ($23 USD), while the regular edition is ¥1,260 ($15 USD).
The song “Fight Together” will be available on Chaku Uta (R) on June 1st, and you can check out the song from the opening of “ONE PIECE” below:

KAT-TUN’s new song “Run for You” featured in SUZUKI’s “SOLIO” CM!
KAT-TUN has filmed another CM for SUZUKI’s compact car “SOLIO“, and this time, a new song called “Run for You” was used as the theme track.
The 15-second CM is the “Going Outdoors” version and shows the five members driving out to an outdoor field. It’s been announced that an alternate version will be revealed in the coming days. In addition to the CM, KAT-TUN also made a special message video for fans.
It is unknown at the moment how or when “Run for You” will be officially released.

AKB48 to hold special launch event for official Singapore store
AKB48 fans in Singapore are preparing for an amazing weekend with their favorite idol group.
On May 14th, AKB48’s official Singapore store will hold its launch event. Doors open at 1:00 PM, and fans can grab exclusive merchandise, such as posters, T-shirts, pens, photobooks, and much more. Those who spend over $15 SGD will be eligible to attend a special handshake event with members Misaki Iwasa, Mika Komori, and Miho Miyazaki.
As if that weren’t exciting enough, the following day will see the first ever performance at the AKB48 Theatre in Singapore. 16 members were flown in from Japan, and they’re gearing up for a spectacular 90-minute show. Fans have the opportunity to grab two shows that day, one at 3:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM.
Whew! We hope you guys bought tickets for the show, because we’re sure that the girls will rock the stage. For those of you who can’t make it, check out the greeting video from AKB48 below!
